Dirt bikes which are also known as the trails bikes, are not meant for the road but instead they are very lightweight motorcycles specially designed for the uneven or rough path of riding cross country. The tires of such bikes are rugged and are also equipped with suspension as these bikes are mainly used in the terrain regions. The power of the engine is less than normal bikes, usually less than 500 cc.
There is a lot of variety dirt bikes. Some of the most recognizes brands of dirt bikes are Suzuki, Honda, and Yamaha etc. Since many of these bikes are specially meant for the tracks, rough area, and for competitions like Motocross, these bikes are manufactured so that they are light and have maximum grip with knobby tires.
Classification of the engines of dirt bikes can be categorized in 2 types- one is 2 stroke and other is 4 stoke. First one is used for the ignition of the gas and the oil as a mixture in the cylinder and hence the bike gets powered up and hence has more lubricated engine. The other is crude version of the car engine.
